Getting Settled

Finally I feel like I can take the time out to post. If I haven't mentioned it before, I HATE moving. I can't stand clutter and confusion. I admire you military wives that move all the time across the country. Todd and I have only moved around the state of Utah, but moving every 2-3 years is a pain. This move is our final town...but not the last move. I'm looking forward to the last move which should be in 6-7 months (if I'm lucky). Here's a few pics of the move...
What was a nice beautiful sunny day for a move, turned into...

A huge down pour in Garland. Complete with nickel-sized hail that would not let up. Everything got soaked and mud was everywhere!

Home Sweet Home...for a few months. It was a basement house that they removed the roof and added the top floor. It's all new and pretty nice. It's smaller than what we were in and the kids are sharing rooms, but it's perfect for now.

We moved a bunch of stuff to a storage unit and in the hopes that our new home will be done sooner than later, I'm not decorating a single room. The kids are quickly making new friends in the ward. It's a little different for them because we're not in subdivision loaded with kids...everyone is spread out a little bit, but they're adjusting and enjoying all the extra space. The ward has been very friendly and even offered to help us put in a late garden. We passed on the garden this year because we doubt we could get anything out of it before the first frost. Thanks again to my sister, Anne and to Michelle for once again helping me clean and pack. You guys are the best! Also, thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Miller for taking the kids for a few days so we could pack and unpack without interruptions! I didn't have to stop and feed kids for 5 days! I only have about 6 more boxes to unpack and then we can enjoy summer. Maybe by then it'll be done raining. Yeah!!

  3. Hi Millers! It is the Christensen's (actually Heidi) from the Sun Hills Ward. I found your blog from the Routson's blog. Wow! Another move!?! It sounds like Garland is going to be your final move/destination? Are you building a new home? I hope it goes quickly for you. It was great to find you. Do you mind if I link you on my blog? displaceddesertrat.blogspot.com?
