Back To School! FINALLY!!

You make think that I'm a little late posting this, but you're wrong. Today (31st) was the kids' first day of school. I think we're the last district in the state to start. As I've said, NOTHING happens in this county until after the fair. That includes school. Having the early out of our previous district and the late start date here, it made one long summer. The kids were more than ready to start.

Kiarra left first today at 7:00 to catch her bus. Her school is just for 6th-7th graders. She loved having a locker and went a few days ago to decorate her locker with some friends. She had no trouble jumping out of bed at 6 this morning...very rare. She had a great day and enjoys having a little more independence.

Zac and Sophie had to wait until 7:30. It just about killed them. They were literally bouncing off the wall for half an hour.

For now we live in walking range to the elementary, which is about a mile. They have decided to ride bikes as long as the weather permits. Zac has promised to be patient and get Sophia safely to class. Max and I get to join Sophia for a bike ride home mid-morning...dang, I wish we had all day kindergarten. :)
