A Good Week!

Last week was a very good week for our "little" project. Running around to three kids' soccer games leaves little time for blogging, but if I don't get these pictures up tonight, Todd will be bugging me again. (Soccer pics, of course, will someday be posted.)

Anyway...the roof trusses went up last Friday and our "lane" is finally under way. We have been negotiating with UDOT (Utah Department of Transportation) since March for permission to have a driveway that is accessed from a state highway. Some weeks it felt like we'd have a house with no way to get to it. In these economic times, with new construction at an all-time low, it's amazing how long it took UDOT to do their job. Our tax dollars hard at work, I guess...ughh!! I knew we were facing a mountain of red tape when we started this house, but JEEZ!, it's been crazy. Thankfully Todd handles it all and I just nag him. Soooo...here's the photos he wanted up....

The front of the house on Monday evening. The front door and some windows have not been cut out, but you get the general idea.

The back of the house... as you can see from the children in the second and third story windows, they have no fear of heights, but enjoy giving me frequent heart attacks.
