Okay...I know, I know...it's about time I did some blogging. It's been a CRAZY time for us and to tell you the truth, I just didn't feel like sitting down to the computer. I haven't even been checking everyone else's blogs. That's what happens when you move.
We moved on January 16th and I've been trying to get things put away so that maybe I can start decorating this new home. It was a big push to get the house done in time and it was a lot of late, late nights the week of our move. Thankfully we are blessed to have great friends and family that helped me pack and helped us with the finishing touches to the house.

(Awesome sister-in-law, Emily, helping glaze walls until late at night. Our little crew of 7 glazed massive walls for four nights straight. Love 'em, but I don't think we'll do it again.)
I have to say again that we live in the best ward ever! (no offense to past wards) But I was in total complete shock the day of our move. Things were flying so fast that I didn't even get a chance to pull out my camera for pictures...so mad about that. We had over 20 Elders and High Priests show up on moving day and there 6-7 ladies helping me clean and then unpack. In four hours we had the rental house cleared out, the storage unit emptied and everything we own unloaded in the new house. By early that evening, most of my kitchen was unpacked and thanks to Brad, all the beds were back together and in place. It was our smoothest move EVER! I want to post some pictures of the house, but I have a thing about posting pics with boxes in the way. I'm almost ready to put some up. To see it fully decorated and furnished check back sometime next year! :)
By the way the new family/kids picture at the top of your blog is great...I love pictures like those. Also I am sure glad that Emily is the one standing in the pictureand not me, but I am still trying to figure out what she is holding in her hand...it looks like a bent hook of some sorts, doesn't look like any of the rags we used to glaze, or the brush we used to put the glaze on with...hhhmmmmmmm, what is that?????
ReplyDeleteIt's the small rollers. One of the few times the boys club let us chicas use it.
