Ok...so I thought this conversation I had with Max was just too cute. I had to share. It happen Sunday afternoon as we were getting dinner on the table.
I hear him and Sophie having a little argument. You know the type; "Yes, he is ." "No, he isn't."
I interrupted them to ask what they were fighting about.
Sophia: "Max says that Otto was the first prophet."
Me: "What?"
Sophia: "Max says that Otto was the first prophet!"
Me: "Who?"
Max: "Otto." (I think I asked them this about 5 times just to make sure my hearing was working. Also this gave me time to try and figure out where the confusion began.)
Me: "Max, where did you hear about Otto?"
Max: "In primary." (Hmmm, that's new.)
Me: "Did your teacher tell you about Otto?" (He has a great teacher, just still trying to trace his thinking.)
Max: "No, we sang about him."
He then proceeds to sing, "Otto was a prophet, first one that we know..."
Ah Ha! Got it!
Me: "No, Max. The song is 'Adam was a prophet, first one that we know...' "
Sophie: "Told you"
Another Miller mystery solved...thank you very much! (And apparently our primary needs to annunciate a little better when we're singing.) Poor little Max was a bit sad that he'd been singing about the wrong prophet.

I may always say "Otto" now.... and I'm checking with Miss H. to see what she thinks the song says!
ReplyDeleteI will have to let our Great music leader in Primary to help the little kids know who they are singing about a little more clear...funny kids!!
