First Day!

Yee Haw! Yesterday was the first day of school. I know most of you have already started back...but like I said, the Fair is a big deal here so school waits for the fair. Everyone was excited to get going and was up bright and early at 5:30 am. (Including Max who had no reason to be up.)

Off to 7th Grade! Very excited and she admits it too! She came home saying she had the "best" teachers. Especially for pre-algebra. Yay..maybe she'll be better at math than I am.

In fifth grade...a "senior" at our elementary. He's likes his teacher and is happy that he finally has a male teacher. Zac only wishes that he had more friends in his class. I'm not worried though, he'll make new ones.

Miss Social was extremely happy to be headed back. Sophie's really at school for the fun...learning is second. Hopefully we'll all survive another year. The best part of 1st grade is lunch at school. The best part for mom....Sophia's energy is funneled for a few more hours in the day! Waiting to go to the bus stop! It was pouring, but they were determined to ride the bus.

Another first today...our first sighting of the deer that everyone says we'll see plenty of. I'd been searching since January but never spotted a single deer. Today Max spotted two in the back yard when he was eating his breakfast.
