Party Weekend!

Last Friday, March 18th, was Sophie's 7th birthday...but we partied all weekend. After Todd and I got home from Salt Lake (see previous post) we had great family party at home. Luckily, this time no one was sick. Grandpa and Grandma Campbell came over, Aunt Anne was still there, and Grandpa & Grandma Miller were able to come for the weekend with the cousins. Sophia was dying to open presents by the time Grandpa & Grandma Miller came, so we jumped right in.
After the cake and ice cream, she and Lauren treated us to a concert with Sophie's new Karoke machine. She's been singing ever since. (For those of you that haven't heard, she's in training to move to Hollywood, Vegas, or New York someday. She's possibly considering Pocatello, too. Yeah, I know...fits well with her other choices.) Zac and Maleke contributed to the party by adding a disco ball quickly constructed out of sparkle tissue paper.

It was a fun, loud party. (My parents made a quick escape. )

On Saturday, Grandma helped me take nine kids to a matinee...all part of the birthday fun. After we dropped the boys and friends home, we took the girls and did some Easter dress shopping. Sophia loves to go shopping when she can spend all her time in the dressing room trying on dress after dress. She was in heaven!

Another favorite this weekend was the chess board Grandma & Grandpa Miller brought. Chess is Max current favorite game. He challenges anyone to a game...quess I'm gonna have to learn.

Thanks again to Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and cousins for the fun birthday gifts and visits.
