Harvest Time

There hasn't been much bloggin' going on here because it seems I've been spending most of my time in the kitchen. I foolishly had Todd plant 16 tomato plants...(several of them looked a little sad when we planted and I didn't thing they'd make it.) Well not only did they make it, but Todd's green thumb has them thriving. I've canned salsa, tomato juice, chili sauce and even spagetti sauce. There was also green beans and A LOT of corn. We've turned in a regular 'ole country family. It does feel good to see the shelves and freezer full of our own efforts.
During all that canning there's been quite a bit of homework, piano, dance and soccer. I coached Max's team and we had a killer season. Zac joined a competition team and so that meant I spent a lot of Monday nights traveling with him for games. They all had fun and now we have a couple of weeks off before wrestling begins.
P.S. Just a state fair update...since I forgot to take some more pictures, but Kiarra's quilt received a nice big purple state fair rosette...WAHOO!! Her vest received a first place ribbon. Way to go Kiki!
