While I've been busy trying to find a place for all our junk, the kids have been busy too.
There was the Pinewood Derby in January. Zac's car had "wheel" issues (as evidenced by the graphite he rubbed into his eyes), so it wasn't our best year. But his car design and paint job were great. 
Kiarra had the 6th grade World Fair as well in January. She did a great job on her report and had an impressive display of items from Japan. Not only did she have a lot of Todd's stuff, but she also managed to find more things from other people. It was a crazy, crowded night at the school, but Kiarra loved every minute.
Zac (#26) is busy with basketball. He plays a couple of days a week and is doing great. After a slow start, he has really surprised me. He had some great shots last week and has found his aggressive side.
And last, but not least, was our annual Superbowl Party. This year we kept it small and the Johnson's came over to eat, play games, watch commercials...oh, and watch a little football. The highlight for the kids was the chocolate fountain. They enjoyed every last drip!

They enjoyed every last drip!Todd has also been crazy busy. The poor guy just doesn't have enough hours in his day. He has a lot of projects here at the house he wants to do and he is constantly on the phone getting contractors to finish up this or that around the house. Lately it seems like every time he gets a day off, someone goes into labor and he's headed back to the hospital. He now has over 60 OB patients for the short 8 months we've been here. He's seeing about 25 patients a day and it just gets busier. A new OB/GYN is coming to town in March and it will help Todd to have someone else in town that delievers babies. He's looking forward to sharing call.
Phew...that's the last month in a nutshell.

ReplyDeleteI love that you just posted about the Pinewood Derby and World's fair, since I scheduled posts for those, I wrote them today, but they won't post for a few days....I needed something to blog about and then to try and be consistant I had to try and space the blogs out until I get caught back up and then they will be more up to date.
