Gentleman Farmer

We've had a lot of fun teasing Todd after we received our new insurance policy. The occupation listed is Gentleman Farmer because of the new acreage, tractor and intent to farm part of the land. Anyway, my Gentleman Farmer has had a lot of fun on his new toy. On any given Wednesday, you can find Todd outside moving dirt or construction garbage. It's been essential to have though because we are responsible for plowing our own road and we have a lot of landscaping to do.
And today, Todd added the newest addition to the "farm".No...not a large dog or a sheep. It's a little Angus calf just a day old. It was the rejected half of twins and Todd was more than excited to adopt him. He took Sophie and Max with him to pick the calf up and kept it a surprise until they got to the ranch. Sophie said that she had been wishing for a horse. Anyway, since they drove past ATK to get the calf, the kids have named him Rocket. My Dad, who had a Hereford ranch will be a little upset that we have an Angus calf. Me? I didn't know we were building a farmhouse and for some reason I thought I was married to a doctor...not a farmer.

  1. Cute. But, better you than me. What are you going to farm, besides hay?

  2. That's it...hay. Hopefully, we'll get a good vegetable garden in too.
