Summer Update

I feel like it's been awhile since I posted, so I thought I'd do a little run down of what we've been up to lately. Sophia and Max finished up their swimming lessons this month. It was the first year for Max and he had a great time. Both kids are little fish. Max's teachers had a hard time getting him to keep his face out of the water so that he could listen to instructions.
My little charmer was at his best though because he had his teacher wrapped around his little finger. Every day she would take him down the big slide several times. Sophia loved her class just as much...but I don't think having three teenage boys as teachers was a great idea for my little flirt. Her favorite thing was the diving board. She was like a little cartoon character running in air.
We also had a fun surprise in July. Todd sent a text one day letting us know that he had gotten 6 passes from work for a special showing of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The showing was at 7:00 pm the day BEFORE it was released. When we came out of the movie the line for the midnight showing was just forming. Kiarra was on a Harry Potter high all day... (she's read the books about 3 times now). Todd, Max and Sophia were not as happy. They got VERY bored. Of course Todd has never read the books and this was the first Harry Potter movie he had ever seen...next time we'll leave him home with the little kids....
There's been other summer activites, just like everyone else...family reunions, playing in the pool, some yardwork, etc, etc. Basically we've just enjoyed having more time as a family (usually around a board game or two). We're finding our new rythmn in our new town and we love having Todd home almost every night!

  1. Sounds like a great summer. Yay Harry! I really liked the movie too, but I'm not surprised the younger ones were bored. I'm looking forward to habging out with you guys more often and soon!=)
