Easter Fun

So, since it's been a few days, I thought it was time to post some of our Easter celebrations.
A few days before Easter, Max had a preschool Easter Party/Egg Hunt. His teacher had asked that all the kids come dressed as a bunny. Needless to say it was a cold, windy event and it was hard to even convince the kids that it was fun. He got some great prizes, but I spent the rest of the day wrapped in a blanket to get rid of the chills in my body. I guess it's good that he had this hunt because I refused to take the kids out in the snow for Garland's Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday.
On Saturday, we cleaned the house, watched conference and colored Easter eggs.
What's with the scribbles? Well, Zac carefully wrote the entire opening lines to Star Wars on these eggs... from memory. Yeah, I know, his obsessive traits are showing again.
On Easter morning, the kids got up VERY early to try and find their Easter baskets. That tricky bunny always hides the baskets. Some years it takes over an hour for all the baskets to be located. This year it only took 20 minutes. The bunny needs to step up his game. Kiarra's was in this little cupboard in the back of the theatre room closet.Zac's was on this shelf in the storage room.Sophie's was hidden by the beach towels in the linen closet. And Max's was in the washing machine.
Due to the snow, the Easter Bunny left his small Easter egg hunt in the family room instead of the yard this year. Tip: have the camera out of your case before you say "GO"!
And finally, thanks Grandma Miller for the cute Easter outfits. I finally let the kids wear them the week before Easter. Everyone looked great!

  1. I love the hiding the Easter Baskets...I thought about passing that on to our Easter bunny this year..BUT didn't, I guess it was a good thought. I love Max's face when you took the picture of him with his basket in the washing machine. Zac just cracks me up, with his star wars words on his eggs, what a funny kid. The Easter outfits look great!!! I have to say at least you have pictures with your kids AND their baskets AND their egg hunt, I didn't even actually take any pictures of the kids with baskets or looking for eggs...
