April Happenings...

It seems like every April and May life gets crazy busy and just stays that way until school gets out. And so it begins again... my calendar is getting very crowded with kid activities. Having three kids playing spring soccer, (each of them involving 2 nights/week and Saturday morning), hasn't helped. But they all asked to play and love playing, so I freeze in the wind and watch each one.

Zac

Kiarra has been working on growing her hair long for 3 years. She wanted to donate to Locks of Love for the second time. Finally her hair was long enough to donate 10 inches and still have some hair left. She was very excited Thursday to get a new do!BEFORE...
AFTER! Very cute!

Then there's "The Farm". On Wednesday, Todd took Zac to pick up another calf for him. Meet "Vader". Well...two days later, two became....
EIGHT!!! Yes, folks, EIGHT! Todd says that's because I'm an eight cow wife. Actually, four belong to the Miller kids and the other four belong to the Johnson kids. Together these friends, with the help of their dads, plan on forming a 4-H club to show their bucket calves at the fair. Only Max and Kache (the Johnson's youngest) will be too young to show theirs, but we couldn't leave them out because they're just as anxious to learn how to do the whole thing. No, I'm not loving this, but I'm trying to get on board. Todd is threatening to bring home a pig next to take care of the table scraps and if he does, I'll be selling it cheap to anyone who offers.
Not exactly farm attire...but, then again Sophie's always done things her way!

  1. I love Kiarra's hair. Aubree has an appointment this Thurs. to do the same thing. She wasn't purposely growing it our for that but is tired of her hair and wants it cut. It should be long enough to donate some to Locks of Love.
Good luck with the calves. I do not envy you. But it is a great experience for the kids!
I love the picture with Sophia! It is priceless.
