Finally 12!

I would have gotten this up earlier, but it was a crazy week. Kiarra celebrated her 12th birthday on the 27th of April. She's been waiting for this for a long time. Most of her friends had moved on from Primary to Young Women months ago and she's been impatiently waiting to join them.
The Saturday before her birthday, she had a "late night" with several friends. These girls were lot of fun and a lot of noise...but, it was great entertainment for me just listening to them. They had pizza, played games, made sundaes and watched a movie. They had a great time. I got a great lesson in rural life though. I said I would bring the girls home. I started at 10:00, and due to the great distances between the houses, I didn't finish until 11:20. I felt so bad and hopefully I didn't make too many parents angry.
The girls were a little wired by this time... a serious pose just wasn't going to happen. Then on Monday (26th) we decided to have our family party. Grandpa and Grandma Campbell came with Aunt Anne. We opened presents, had cake and had more fun.
Tuesday morning, Kiarra got a traditional breakfast gift. This year it was the 5th Fablehaven...Yeah!

I know many of you have already had children reach this milestone, but I'm seriously in disbelief. Just when did my little girl grow into this beautiful, young woman. She is so smart and beautiful. Kiarra puts a lot of effort in her school work and does a great job. She is also a huge help around the house. I probably dump too much on her but she is a great babysitter and is learning to cook and do some laundry. Yay for me ... not so much fun for her. We are very proud of her and I'm so excited for her. She will have a great time in the Young Women's program and will create some fun memories. Love you, Kiarra! Happy Birthday... again!
