Memorial Day

Memorial Day weekend was a good beginning to the summer. I say only "good" because it wasn't sunny or warm enough to be great. The sun only peeked out for a little while on Monday. Our friends, the Stay family, moved into their "vacation home" next to us. (This will be a second home for them until they are ready to move here permanently in several years.) We enjoyed a rainy weeked of firing up the grill and heating the dutch ovens. YUM, YUM! We also got a lot of game time in. Our other friends, the Routsons, came Sunday night and stayed until Monday evening. All the kids had a great time together and the adults had fun too.
Todd built a quick fire pit in the back yard for the weekend.
Catherine survived some rough ground to be able to join us in the back yard! Glad you were there Catherine!Happy kids! Dirt doesn't bother thems at all. I personally can't wait until this patio is set in a nice green back yard.

On Memorial Day, we left the friends for a while and went over to Cache Valley to hang out with the Campbell family. We did our annual trip to the Providence cemetary and then back to my parent's house for lunch. Again...more fabulous food.

My mom with Kiarra and Zac.

I love this picture. Even though we can't get a four generation photo, we came close. In order; my dad, my brother, Joe (well, his grave site), my nephew, Lance, and his cutie son, Joe.

My dad and some of my uncles and aunts were checking the plot list to see if the plots they had purchased were listed. Then we all realized that you have to be deceased to be on the list. They all decided it was good thing they couldn't find their names. Ahh...the love!

Anyway, it was a good weekend. Too bad the kids still had four more days of school, but all the playing and BBQ got us excited for summer.
