Out with the Old in with the New

It may come to a shock to most, but the time finally came for Todd to say goodbye to Old Reliable. Old Reliable had suffered through freezing temperatures in Cache Valley as Todd completed his undergrad studies, then went on to see him faithfully to class each day throughout med school. After 4 tedious years of wearing out I-15 between Layton and Salt Lake, he struggled to keep pace with Todd in Provo for residency. He managed to truck through heavy traffic in Provo and to far distant Utah rural communities for three years. The last year and a half was a struggle here in Tremonton...the questions remained..."Just how long would Old Reliable be reliable?" "Just how many times can he be brought back from the dead?" Those may be answers we'll never have. It was decided that it was no long respectable for Dr. Miller to be driving the biggest rust-bucket in the hospital parking lot and which night would it leave him stranded on a frantic run to the hospital? So, Old Reliable was not sent to the junk yard, but passed on to someone else to love. Thanks, Old Reliable, for 13 years of service!

As you can imagine, Todd is throughly enjoying Old Reliable's replacement...yet to be named. I was tad jealous because it's got a lot of great upgrades that my car doesn't, but I got over it when Todd let me drive it ONCE. It's a blast to drive for me because the gas and brake petal adjust to my stumpy legs...yippee! Small things make me happy! But seriously, I did get over the jealously because Todd deserves it. He works very hard and I'm happy that he now has a comfortable and safe way to get there. Happy Truckin', Todd!
