Construction Continues...

There's been several changes at the house since the the last pics I posted, so I thought it was time again for another look at "The Project". Especially since I've promised some friends & family members that I would get an update posted.

They're still working on the exterior roof, soffits, shutters...etc. This was taken a day after they finished pouring half the driveway and the sidewalk. In the back, they're working on the deck, getting ready for stucco.One of Todd's projects. He was been working on building this shed (with the help of our friend, Rob) so that it'll be ready when they do the stucco on the house.Through the scaffolding, you can see the mantle is in place as is most of the rock. The rest of the interior is moving along too. Todd, his brother, Brad, and Rob have been laying tile in the bathrooms and laundry. The drywall is complete and they've starting doing the molding and other trim. Friday the wood floors starting going down. I'm not sure if we'll make it by Christmas...but it'll be close. After receiving an outrageous bid for painting, we decided to take on that nasty task ourselves. We'll have help...from the same above-mentioned individuals...but, it's still the biggest painting project we've ever taken on. Good thing Todd was a professional painter at one point in his life. Paint in the hair is a good look for holiday parties, right?
