Catchin' Up

After posting so many pictures of the house and spending hours on the blog, I lost the desire to mess with it for a while. Not to mention I've been putting my scrapbook room to some good use. So just to catch up....
SCHOOL TIME

Zac put a lot of work into his biography report. The kids in his class each read a biography that had the cover concealed so that during class time others couldn't see who they were reading about. Then they had to dress like the person they read about , draw 4-5 pictures and read their report without saying who they were. The class had a game of hangman to guess who the report was about. Zac worked hard to keep his secret. The kids first guessed George Washington. Zac was actually Paul Revere and yes, Todd and I made his awesome tricorn hat out of posterboard.

Cool huh?

MIXED UP MONDAY

In celebration of Dr. Seuss's Birthday, Max got to dress a little crazy for preschool.

MILLER FAMILY SPRING BIRTHDAY PARTY

With distance and scheduling making it hard to be together for birthdays, the extended Miller family now holds a Spring Birthday bash and a Fall birthday bash. It seems to work for now... and the kids seem to think it's a great idea. This year we held the "Spring" Party on the last weekend of February.

Everyone loved having a sleepover. All the boys slept in Zac's room. Max even couldn't be persuaded to go to his own room.

Ethan catching some air, sledding in our back yard. Just below the "cliff" is the Malad River. Safe? Sure Kiarra was there to stop the sledders. Grandpa did take the kids to the much safer Jack Rabbit Hill later in the day.

Zac did a little flying too.

Grandpa and Grandma ran the bingo table.

So Todd and the kids found 82 candles in the bag of supplies Grandma brought. They decided to add all the candles to the cake. It was quite the fire hazard. Some of the decorations on the cake caught fire and when the kids had finally (much later) blew out the last trick candle...I was pretty sure it was dangerous to take a piece. There was a layer of ash, wax and some spit (most likely why I came down with the stomach flu after the weekend). Even though I scraped off that layer of icing...I shoulda passed.

All the gang lined up for dinner.

  1. How did I miss so many posts??? Anyway, you must have an awesome sport feature on your camera, because those sled shots of the boys on the sleds in the air are GREAT!!!! Glad to know that no one flew off the edge into the Malad River!!
