As I said it would be, this week has been busy too. Tuesday night I wish I'd had a clone. One of our fun events that night was Max's Preschool Graduation Program. His teacher, Miss Marci, had all three classes there and they sang several songs. After that they were awarded their diplomas along with a cute bullentin board to hang in their rooms.
Then Miss Marci gave her special awards. There were two Valedictorians this year and one of them was Max! I was so surprised. The list of things that these kids had to pass off was very long...it included knowing and writing their letters, days of the week, months of the year, writing and recognizing numbers, counting by 1's and 10's, telling time on the hour and 1/2 hour, address, phone number, color words, shapes, etc, etc, etc. I mean it was a LONG list. I knew he had done well on his testing, but man, I didn't even know that he knew all that stuff. There are 60 kids in that preschool and for Max to be one of the two that got it done just amazes me. Heck, he's only 4 and we have another year before Kindergarten.
Max getting his Valedictorian award. He was a little fast for me, but I love the look on that face. He was so happy. He received a t-shirt and a game.
Max with Miss Marci. She's great and he loves being at school.
Okay, yes, I'm rambling on like a proud mom...but...well, I am. We have since nick-named Max, "Smartie Pants"! As a side note, this same, bright, intelligent child chewed on my new bar stool yesterday and scraped off a lot of the finish with his teeth...WHAT THE HECK?!! Good thing he's cute.

I'm so proud of Max... could he possibly teach Hannah a few hundred things.... You'll understand when I post about her adventures at pre-school....
